Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The Holiday Season is upon us. My message to you all is to be safe and enjoy them to their fullest. This is also a time of year where depression can set in. If you know of anyone who may need an uplift due to their personal situation, invite them over to spend some time with you. The kids Christmas Party is December 21st at the Hall. Plan on attending with your family if your off that day, if not send your family as all family members are welcome.
I also need all of your email addresses, we are in the process of putting together a directory.
Up at the Mine, the upper new 10% haul road is open and the long anticipated waste from the slide is now being hauled out to the dumps. We are steadily working on the Bus issue and the other main issues up at the Mine. The steady of hiring Sub Contractors is still our big concern and we taking the appropriate measures in resolving them. We need to set up a grievance committee to help out our unit Chair Ron Black.
If you are interested in becoming a steward or grievance committee person,contact Ron or myself. We are still planning on a open house after the first of the year to increase Membership and to get Members active in our Union. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. One last note, study your contract, and remember you can initiate any first step grievance. Be safe and go home to your family the way you left them.
