l hope you all had a great and safe Holiday weekend. I would like to thank the Members who took it to the next level and attended Steward training and are ready to represent each and everyone of you. We will hold another class in July to build numbers up on teams that are lacking Stewards. The rumors are flying around Rio TInto on what is going to happen June 1. For now all I can say is that we will take it as it happens. Hopefully after the changes June 1, overtime will slowly come back. We are steadily growing in membership and I want to thank each and everyone of you who are getting it done.
Joint Safety and Health meetings have been successful at the Mine. Thank you to those that have attended them and voiced your concerns. I would also like to remind all of you about the annual Union Summer Park Party BBQ, Friday August 1st, at the Magna Park. Bring your family and enjoy the great food, and join in the solidarity.
