We delayed Fast Track yet again! Check this out for an important update to yesterday’s email.

**The email below contains an important update to the link for the Fast Track votethat we provided you yesterday. Please make sure you know where your Representative stands on this critical issue and thank those who voted NO!**
Where We’re at on Fast Track
We just secured another small victory in our ongoing efforts to stop Fast Track. For Fast Track to move forward today, the House had to pass a Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) measure that was inadequately funded and didn’t cover enough workers who would be impacted by bad trade deals. Instead, they didn’t have the votes and were forced into extending the timeframe for a re-vote on TAA. We’ve stalled them again!

What comes next?

While lawmakers COULD take this opportunity to examine the failings of Fast Track and start working towards better trade policy, we expect the opposite. Fast Track supporters are discussing a number of options to keep the bill alive and moving. We know we’ll need to stay on our toes and be prepared for anything. Once again, thank you for all that you’ve been doing at every turn to stop Fast Track. Today is another sign that your efforts are making a difference!

One more thing. . .

The thank you calls are being very well received by our allies in Congress! Please continue to thank those key Representatives who stood with us on TAA (see list from Sunday’sActionCall) AND those who stood with us on the Fast Track vote (here’s the link to the full Fast Track vote). Making a call is easy. Just dial 866-202-5409 to call your Representative or dial the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 if you’re calling another Representative.
